Biography:
Immersed in paradox, glass and I, in a dance of intentional accidents and planned surprises, weave memories of my childhood and life experiences paying attention to patterns around me. I choose to work with dichroic glass which splits white light into two opposing spectra when layered and fused in a kiln produces brilliant colors and movement. In design, the paradox of moving water and static pattern continues to be a major focus. Water’s fluidity, its transparency, its light bending nature is mimicked in the heated moving glass. Take the heat away, freeze the action, and the resultant effect is pattern and fluidity fused in the dance.
