Biography:
Stephen Rich Nelson spent a portion of his youth living in the South Pacific which had a great influence on the art he creates. He was a painter at Tyler School of Art when he walked into the hot shop and fell in love with glass. Glass was a way to paint three-dimensionally, involving color and light. His passion for the medium led him to earn his master’s degree at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has been creating pieces of glass art for the last forty years. His work can be seen in museums and corporate and private collections around the world.
