“I make boxes entirely of wood. This includes the hinges, fasteners, drawer slides, and all other ‘hardware.’ I use a clear oil finish without stains, paints or dyes.”
Ray Jones was born and raised in California. He received a bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1976, and left engineering in 1982 to pursue a career in woodworking. Since 1990 he has lived and made his wood boxes in Western North Carolina.
