Biography:
Enlivened by wildlife, boundless in bronze & masterful with form and color. These are the key ingredients that give me inspiration, direction and passion to be distinct. My originals are hand sculpted in clay in a smooth style with specific areas of an exaggeration to express motion or character. Once the original is completed, it is then molded & cast in bronze through the “Lost Wax Method”, about a 3-month process. I personally develop each patina to bring out the animals particular individuality and unique traits. With heat, various nitrate chemicals are applied in a layered & patterned fashion to simulate detail & depth. I choose rich colors that excite the eye and also give a lively or sometimes whimsical personality to each subject.
